Hi, I'm trying to repair a bally baby pac-man and in test mode it prints the following text:
"Communications" "RCV" "XMIT" and "RCV"
but I expect also the numerical characters (10,20,30,30,40 or 00,00,00,00,00 if communication fails) but they don't appear.
I checked all communication lines and they look fine.
Because I don't see any results of the test, I suspect that the rom(s) might be corrupt. I can read out the rom but I do not have an eprom eraser or a new 27c64 eprom to test the older version that you can find on the internet.
I have currently an 891-16 version in u9.
This information I can get out of the babypacman.txt that is included in the romversions (891-13 older!!) you can find on ipdb.net :
>> VID_U9.764 or 891-13_9.764 - U9 for VIDIOT, 2764 [DFFF]
>> VID_U10.764 or 891-11_10.764 - U10 for VIDIOT, 2764 [30FF]
>> VID_U11.764 or 891-05_11.764 - U11 for VIDIOT, 2764 [1AFF]
>> VID_U12.764 or 891-06_12.764 - U12 for VIDIOT, 2764 [F0FF]
>> VID_U29.764 or 891-12_29.764 - U29 for VIDIOT, 2764 [3AFF]

So apparently I have this newer version.....
Is there somebody that has the 891-16 version in rom images so I can compare them?
I can also send the newer version so somebody can update their pacman with the newest version and feedback to me if they work
