Hi.

I'm putting back together a Mousin Around and have both lost my pics and jumbled up the parts. I have cobbled most of it back together at this point from other restoration threads / google, but there are 10 posts to go that I don't know which ones go where. Also, I need to find or build a wire gate for the ball entry, and I'm not sure from the manual how the spring is supposed to attach to it.

Does anyone have any teardown pics that I can use to identify the correct posts to go in the following and figure out what to do with that spring (or can anyone take some side view pics at playfield level that will show me?

Thanks,

For your first picture:

There is a star post behind the metal guide beside the spring you can barely make out...it supports the other side of the gate.

For your second picture:

Looks like you've got the tapered sleeves on the wrong posts.

For your third picture:

Top hole is for the threaded post affixed to the metal guide.

For your last picture:

It's just a yard sale of posts in a tight area. Hopefully you can make sense of the series of photos!

If you need a better shot of the wire gate, I'll need to take the ramp off...but you should be able to get a sense of how it works from the photo on Marco's website. Basically, the under PF coil pulls in when the ball hits its first switch, and the spring lifts the gate up, as it is attached to the gate arm closest to the back of the playfield.

Thanks spiroagnew! A "yard sale" of posts is politer than the term I had for it. This should help a lot!

Here's the wire gate you need. Out of stock, unfortunately, but linked for reference. Perhaps Steve at Pinball Resource can help if you call him with this part number?

Steve At PBR has that whole gate assembly in stock right now for 10 bucks. A-12844 you can find it in the "special when lit" page on his website.

He might. I ordered it from them a couple days ago, not sure if they had more than 1. I got double lucky and found an assembly bracket for my WCS that I needed too. Couldn't find either of these things anywhere else in the world!

I ordered one for my MA a couple months ago and remember Steve asking me if I just needed one, that's a pretty good indication that he had more than one at that time.
