New head installed from Back Alley. I used a 1/4", 11/64", and a 9/64" drill bit to adjust the holes. You can not install it without modifying the holes. I preinstalled it to see what modification I needed to do and almost couldn't get it back off. But that showed me what I needed to do. The top had a large gap, so I used the 1/4" to drill at an angle to bring the top together. I also used the 11/64" to angle the top of the hole. Next was getting it to go far enough down the shaft to align with the hole at the back. Just use the 1/4" to drill deeper. Then the back hole just needed to be drilled out slightly to line up for the back screw...
Not very hard to do. The part is very solid and that helps to not take away too much material at one time. It's much more solid material from the factory part. I'm very happy with the what Back Alley has come up with.
Hope this helps some of you with installing your new alien head.image.jpg
Just received my package from BAC. Very nice! Now, if just someone would reproduce the middle ramp and maybe some plastics my game could look stellar
Really nice work on those heads. Great work.
notice the "stunning" fiberglass work on my ramp in the back ground...?
All but one ramp has fiberglass on it... My plastics are all glassed together too...

We are pleased that we are selling now this particular part in our shop. Am I allowed to post a direct link to the shop? Regards, Ralf
Any updated reports on how these are holding up once installed? I bought one when they were ready and just got around to shopping the game and installing my new head. I had the same gap at the top of the head as Sscoin and really wanted it to come together so I installed a rubber band wrapped several times below the top mounting screws under the nuts which brings the head together perfectly. I had to adjust the tension of the rubber band as too much and it will not open and too little still leaves a gap. I found the sweet spot and it works and looks perfect. I'll post a pic later. We'll see how well it holds up over time. If the rubber band breaks it should be easy enough to replace.

I installed mine a few weeks ago. They seem to be holding up well. Had the same issue with the gap though. I'll have to try the rubber band trick. I have had to readjust the pots several times though. I think I've finally got it in a good spot.
