I opened a nib magneto LE. The wolverine magnet and switch weren't working and the left nightcrawler wouldn't go down. Eventually smoke and scorching on the aux board lower right corner.
Emailed stern and they sent me a rev B aux board and wire harness switch. I plugged it all in, turned the game on, hit start and the board blew same place. Sparks, smoke same thing. What should In be looking for before I get ANOTHER board?
    Please and thank you

Can you get a close up photo of the aux boards where they both failed? Looks like one of those MOSFETs may have been shorted to ground by a bad wire harness or magent coil.

    Bottom right both times

I went through three boards on a nib magneto. Finally one worked.

Can someone confirm that there should be +50V Flyback suppression Voltage connected to J2-10 on this board?

Good point. Maybe that transistor is failing because of this phenomenon:

Exactly, except with a 50V Coil Drive, this flyback voltage will easilly be several hundred volts and more than high enough to instantly destroy these transistors and MOSFETs.

I don't know where that Red/Orange Wire on the board side of the Z Connector is running off to, but I'm guessing it should have been punched into the J2 at position 10. Have Stern send you a new harness and board. Its likely your two failed boards are easily repairable, I wouldn't toss them.

Curios, What was this new wire harness supposed to do for you?
