I'd look for broken wires at the solder connections.

I doubt it. I'd start with the end of stroke switch.

Check the ohms at both lugs (left and right) and compare to the other coil. Then I'd start checking diodes.

Just make sure you have a good solder connection on the repair. You have scrape off the insulation on the coil wire to expose the metal. Good luck.
