I hope i can describe my problem correctly.

When the ball drains, the game goes through a ball search takes up to a minute or two to place a ball in the shooter lane.
All 3 ball are there. Why it seems to look for a ball every time it drains is frustrating.
Any help would be grateful.

Go into switch test and test the trough switches, one or more is bad or out of adjustment.

Please go into Tests - Switch Edge, and roll the balls in one at a time. Make sure they all register on the DMD. Most likely one isn't working so the game doesn't know a ball is there.

Take the apron off makes this test easier.

Under the playfield check for broken wires. And adjustment.

Probably becasue the trough switches aren't working.
Go into test mode and make sure they are working

I have this issue when the game isn’t level. When I press a flipper it finds the ball.

Thank you for the quick response
So far i found 4 switches that are not working

1. Center drain Under center of apron
2. Light Thing flips
3. Very top Mil
4. Cross over ram assy

I did check the switches & diode with a multi meter, They seem to be fine.
Not sure were to go for here.

Continuity of each wire from switch to cpu. Check if you have a break between the switch and cpu.

Not sure if this would help but, i have somehow same issue with a D/E machine.
I have changed the RAM chip with a NVRAM and since then it also takes a while to move ball into shooter lane.
Or could be a slow switch, but since you tested them....

Three of those switches and the outhole are on row 8. You need to open the manual and check the rest of the switches on that row. White-gray wire. It's broken somewhere.

And while the glass is off, please clean your playfield

As you are checking the switches on row 8, check to see if the diode on one of the switches is smushed up against a piece of metal. I have had similar issues on my old White Water, and a DE Jurassic Park.

Also, for fun try straightening out the kink in the yellow wire under the trough switch in the photo. It's less likely, but that has magically fixed my Star Trek cannons before.
