I am trying to use a magnet in a pin. I want it to turn on for only 1-2 seconds when a button is pushed and then turn it off until the button is pressed again.
How would I go about doing this?

So I have a Bally Nip-It. Of course it's missing the Gator Grabber. My idea us to put in a magnet under the playfield and a gate on a coil to block the Gator mouth. When you hit the Gator grabber button the gate will go up and the magnet will turn on for 1 second or so. If I adjust the magnet right I should be able to tweak it to be random enough but still possible to get good at it.
