Well? Get it working? If not, Maybe they changed shaker motor hook up and design through the last 5 years.

Were you supposed to take the wire with you from SM? There is a long wire that connects to another connector at the top of the cabinet. Did you dettach that from the top of the cabinet?

To be clear, I'm talking about what I did for Star Trek to hook it up. Perhaps that long wire isn't the same for SM. If not, you may be missing the wire, assuming Iron Man is set up similarly to Star Trek.

Im helping Rai. I have a friend sending me the correct wire harness. The wire in SM is all in the wire harness and could not be moved over. Once I get the new harness it should take me 2 seconds. The brown wire in the 3 pin molex is in the back of cab.

So it sounds like you need the newer shaker motor kit in the newer games?

Ill let everyone know...This shaker came out of SM. I just could not move over the 7 pin molex wire as it was in the game harnesses. Also there is a small black 2 pin molex that is labeled ground J3 that is hanging on the inside left. The shaker board we are installing has no pins on J3. So there are def several diff versions of shakers out there.

What shaker motor doesn't come with IM VE as part of the package..........

I called Stern about the J3 ground since my Star Trek had the wire, but the board has no pins. It is a feature on newer boards to combat a few complaints about the shaker causing noise or activating the flippers. It is not necessary unless you have one of those rare issues. I hooked mine up without connecting J3 and have had no problems in that regard.

I'm facing the same issue. Did you get it figured out?

I now have the harness that comes with all shaker motors. A friend had a spare. I am hoping to go over and put it in sunday morning. Ill update thread.

Install went perfect. Older style shaker goes in perfect as long as you have the main harness that comes with the shaker. Our old harness was in spiderman and was all tie wrapped into main harnesses.

Easy install and it has 3 shaker settings. Very cool.
