Hello everyone, I am restoring a Data East Simpsons and the lower center Buns Hold insert got melted from a lamp, I need to replace that insert and that little section of art work, has anyone done this and have a scan of this area for printing and or know which insert to buy for this section? It says Bonus Hold and shaped like a Hot Dog, the actual insert is oblong long ways left to right.
Any help would be awesome!!! Maybe an overlay for this area has been made or something?

Checking back to see if anyone could scan their playfield and send me this area, I found an insert I can cut to fit but the artwork for it would be awesome

Hey Profgrif, I posted a similar question regarding a Silverball playfield. I was wondering if we could get a good scan and then photoshop it to the right size, then maybe print it on decal paper, glue it down, and then mylar over it?
I'm not sure how to tackle this task. Let me know if you have any progress.
Thanks!

Looks like you're not having much luck getting a scan Profgrif. If I wasn't so busy at the moment I would have a go at this in Photoshop for you. Give me a few days and I'll see what I can do.

Edit - icanswim70 just got this pin. Maybe ask him for a good close-up photo of your affected area. I had a go at your photo already but it's all hand painted, so it might look too 'perfect' if I fix it up to how I think it looks. Plus colour matching is a bit hard. Is that hotdog brown or orange or a deep red?

Hey Profgrif, thanks to MeesterPieter's good photo he posted above I had a go at this in Photoshop for you. How does this look?
If you print up a waterslide decal of this, it should cover up the burnt area sufficiently. Better than nothing at least.
This is just a preview, if you like it contact me and I can send you the TIF which is about 3200 pixels wide.

You're welcome. Sorry, but I missed this post earlier somehow. I hope the water slide decals turn out well for you.
Post pics for us all to see when it's done.
I hope you get some good scans to fix the other worn areas.
