** Update, Solution** As suggested by a pinsider, the standard sound rom files on IPDB are bad.
Installed a set of sound roms (from IPDB) for pinmame, and sound is excellent now. Thanks.

Hello, if someone has good sound rom files for Space Jam could you please email me a copy of those files. **Not the files from IPDB however. **
Game currently is distorted on some background sounds, a few callouts, and particularly on Taz during the match. New roms were burned from IPDB files, same issue. CPU swapped with another game with good sound, same. Original Space Jam board produces clean sound in the other game as well. Both speakers replaced with new ones.
I ran across a couple old posts about the U36 rom file from IPDB being bad. They stated the same issue we have here. No follow up given however.
In sound test, U36 and U7 are distorted, other 2 sound clean.
