Stroke of luck. I found a swep1 lightsaber tube that I could measure. It is:
1" OD (outside diameter)
7/8" ID (inside diameter)
16th of an inch thick
Approximately 2'4" long (I couldn't take the assembly apart to get the exact length but this is close enough).
I'm going to buy a clear piece of polycarbonate tube with the above specs and try the dark green RIT dye on it. Unless there is another suggestion.
