    Item description

Bally Star Trek or any other Bally from that era: I need the two finger cradle that holds the ball in the kickout hole on the playfield at the top. Not sure of the correct name.

Back in the day I had a machine shop make me the metal part for the Bally eject hole.
    1) Made a pattern of the part and they cut the part out of stainless steel...
    2) Spot weld the part to the base plate.
I wish I could have had more made.

This part is really not available anymore. I think you can repair if you can find the "fins"? Look on the bottom of the cab for a circular bit of metal with two fins pointing up. The weld breaks and it falls. If you can't find it, I bet you could fabricate one yourself. A tack weld would be close to factory. Maybe a rivet somehow?

Thanks for the response and ideas. I'm using a temporary piece of foam at the moment, to force the ball over the switch more.

A simple strip of metal bent into the shape of a "U" from underneath or an "H" shape inserted from the top would replicate. The saucer does not need a smooth bottom.

The foam is a great idea... just a triangle wedge to send the ball to the switch... nice!
