Greetings fellow pinball enthusiasts.

I’m a long time pinball fan and new to the forum.

I’m looking to get my feet wet in buying a game to fix up. Ideally want an EM game, but an oppty has arisen with a Joker Poker SS game.

When I went to persons house had no idea what games he had or if they were EM or SS. I’d done a bunch of reading about EM games, but nothing on SS games.

Game turned on, but that’s it. I think the game showed a score as opposed to 000,000, but not certain. Plastic piece over jacks was partially broken. Play board looks like it needs a cleaning. Back glass looked pretty good. Cabinet had some wear. Not sure if all lights were working.

Person didn’t have keys to open game - has the keys, but in another location so will be going back to look at the inside.

As this is all new to me I’m trying to figure out what would be a reasonable price to pay for the game based on the little info I have.

Having read about Gottlieb SS1 machines the boards, battery acid and grounding are things that will likely need to be addressed.

Attached are pics of backglass and playfield.

Any help / guidance on fair price would be greatly appreciated.

Looks pretty good. If it displays scores, then the MPU is booting. If the MPU has no acid damage, you can just use it. If not, be prepared to know the options for replacement boards and their costs to understand how much money you'll need to put into it.

Besides from that, looks like it just needs a cleaning, some new rubbers, and probably a flipper rebuild.

These get $1200+ in working condition (probably a bit more since yours looks pretty nice), so just subtract from there for all your planned costs and the labor

Ni wumpf cpu is a very good place to start, adds many new features to game. In the north west, these pins bring more in the 2 to 2500 range, more if condition warrants. Great game!!

Well dang, I’m on the wrong coast to sell one then haha! I’ve read that if it shows a code/score in all of the boards it has to do with a slam tilt registering.

If anyone is looking for one around North NJ, I’m selling one. Small project and posted in the classifieds. Ni Wunpf board, etc
