Hey guys, I am getting out of the pinball restoration/repair hobby and would like to sell all of the parts, etc... I have collected over the years as one lot.. everything from playfield nuts and bolts to boards, decals, etc...
My questions are what would be the best way to sell it on pinside, estimating the value and how to post pics? I have well over 50 pics and 3 pages of inventory, at least most of it. Attached are just a few of the pics..
    Thanks!!

What I would do is list several mini lot ads by type of part and make each lot type a separate marketplace ad. Like you could have an ad for incandescent bulbs and flashers, one for LEDs, one for flipper parts, etc.

Ditto what he said, but sell them to the highest bidder. Have them PM their bid. Give it a try on the items you feel most likely to sell. If it works, then do a second auction, third etc.

    It’s worth a try.

Wish I was closer, I'd buy it all in one lot. But since I'm not do it in separate lots like everyone is saying.

Can you do bidding on Pinside?

If you want to move it all quickly just set a good price for each lot. It sounds like he wants to put everything together and just get rid of it with minimal effort. If he wants to make more money he can spend more time piecing everything out and have people contact him for what they want, but that takes a tremendous amount of time.

I personally would not want to deal with BS of packaing and shipping 1 off or even small lots.

I would make a single package price for it all and local pick up.
Be reasonable and price at like 50% of value. Dont cherry pick the good stuff to sell individually, the good stuff is the bait for a buyer to take it all in 1 lump package and deal with the junk.

Make it easy on yourself. time is valuable.

Alternative is to make logical packages and make 3-5 lots.
Reality is then you will need to package and ship so factor in if the 25% additional is worth your time/effort.

Honestly, I do not know. That is a good question I didn’t think about.

why no picture of your prowler in your avatar ! lol

I,ll take tbe bulbs, plastics snd the addams family decal kit. Let me know if you interested.

Get a valuation of everything in your head then do a bulk lot with make a reasonable offer and pick up only.

Otherwise you'll be stuck packaging up individual parts for months if not longer. Plus all the good stuff will go quickly and you'll be caught out with the leftovers.

He got rid of the prowlers and now is stuck on lotus. The nickname from his prowler days stuck. Read his info

I have the same hoard. I know the feeling, need to get rid of this shit.
Try and sell as a bulk lot. As Hilton said, dont cherry pick the good stuff. Its bait for the lot.

Brian is a great person to deal with. Great restorations also!!

I could use about half of it. If you change your mind and want to sell half of it in one shot, send me a PM.

Thanks guys for all the input and great ideas!! I have the same mind-set as Whysnow, Make it easy on myself... I'm 67 so time is valuable)). I'll try to come up with an estimate of everything and either sell outright or try to auction it off here on pinside. I'll probably delete this thread in a few days and post another one for the auction with all the pics and an inventory..
And Jackster is correct.. Have had 3 Prowlers but wanted something with a little speed.. So now on my 5th Lotus and love them. In fact a fellow pinsider, CaptainNeo was nice enough to check one out near him before I bought and shipped it home.

Again, thanks guys for all the info.. and sorry if your interested in picking the lot for specifics. Just don't have time to deal with selling, shipping, etc.

Really interested in this process. I believe I might be getting to the same spot in my life. I have TONS of stuff and at some point here in the near future will be looking to start this process. I have boxes, of boxes, of boxes of stuff I don't even know what I have.
