If any 1976 Gottlieb Sure Shot owners could post a picture or two of their bonus unit I’d greatly appreciate it.

My newest addition’s Bonus unit ‘add bonus’ coil always fires 5 times on drain no matter how many balls in the rack are lit or if all 15 are lit and it’s not ratcheting up either.

If I could get a picture of the rivet side unit’s home position and one of the gear side too it would help me immensely.

Thanks,
Danny

On drain, it should move clockwise 15 positions (five at a time), fire the hole kicker, then reset to zero position.

On my Bank Shot, the ball resting in the outhole closes the Ball Return switch, which activates the Bonus Score relay (Q). “Q” activates the Motor so the bonus unit will increment to its highest position (fifteen), activate the Ball Return relay (O), and then reset to the zero position. “O” kicks the ball out to the shooter lane.

Thanks a bunch @judoratt. That’s it. If I could get a picture or two of the gear side to go with that, it would be awesome.

Thanks a lot @andrewp. That’s very helpful. Mine is struggling mechanically to move up and it’s also not getting the full signal to increment the correct amount. The step up coil fires 5 times no matter what and the wiper stays put instead of moving clockwise along the rivets.

It does reset now correctly but I’ve got some work to do figuring out the rest. I’ll let you all know what happens. Thanks again.
