Me & some friends are flying into Minneapolis Friday for the Metallica concert Saturday night. We are looking for a place to hang out on Sunday and recover/drink more, before we fly out on Monday. I saw Up--Down on Google & it looks pretty cool. Hard to beat 6 tallboys and tokens for $25. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Mortimer's is right up the road from Up Down and has a sweet lineup that is very well maintained. You can also use the pinball map to find other specific games and locations. If you don't mind driving, we have some other great locations out of Minneapolis too.

Attack from Mars (w/ Color DMD)
    Cirqus Voltaire (w/ Color DMD)
    Game of Thrones (Pro)
    Ghostbusters (LE)
    The Hobbit (LE)
Indiana Jones: The Pinball Adventure (w/ Color DMD)
    Medieval Madness (Remake)
    Monster Bash (w/ Color DMD)
Spider-Man (Vault Edition) (w/ Color DMD)

Caffetto Coffee House is right across the street from Mortimer's and has coffee and pop if you need something else besides alcohol to help recover. They have a great lineup operated by the same guy as Mortimer's too.

    Bram Stoker's Dracula
The Simpsons Pinball Party (Color DMD)
    Star Trek (Premium)
    Theatre of Magic (Color DMD)
    The Walking Dead (LE)

I would suggest you head to the Nomad. Their games are great (maintained by the same guys). Mort's is great, but it's Mort's. Caffetto doesn't serve beer. The Updown will definitely be packed with the younger crowd and you will have to wait to play.

+1 for morts and the nomad.
Best games. Super well maintained except maybe total at the nomad...

Up down is fun bit some of the games aren't in the best condition

Ss billiards is an Uber away in St. Louis Park and had good games including a bbb and woz and hobbit and more but no drinks.

I meant totan not total. Stupid autocorrect.

Can make a day of it here.
Mortemers and blainebrook are great for beers and games, Sun Rays is good to.
Before drinking to much maby visit the all knowing LTG at SS Billiards in Hopkins.
    All within shooting range.
The little lady and I will be at the Metallica show also, super stoked!!!
    Master! Master!

Check pinballmap.com for games and location.

Unless you can play like 50 games at Blainebrook and drink good beer!?!

SS Billards, Mortimers, and Sun Rays games are the best maintained games in town.
Blainebrook has the most in one location, and there games are pretty damn good as well.

Also a few of the games at Mortimers are in the back room that opens at later times like 7 or 8.
But it is a very nice lineup right in front.

I do believe there is a pin golf tournament at Blainebrook on Sunday.

Interesting. Sounds like that might be a plan. All will depend on my level of Metallica hangover. ?
