NBA Fastbreak

I got NBA fastbreak while ago, never had the chance to repair it, last week I started to fix the machine, only needed couple of switches, the only problem I have is this part "picture".
Can someone show me what is on top of that post?
That post lifts up and down depending on what shot is active. The metal piece sticking up needs to be pushed down so the hole is around that post. Here is a pic of the NBAFB I had of that area
