Hi Everyone,

According to previous topics & posts about NBAFB's alleged knocker, no one has confirmed ever having one installed in their game. Similar to my backbox, I was surprised there wasn't any proof that a knocker ever existed (no drill holes, no evidence of wood fill in the area, etc.).

After some research, the manual provides photos of the knocker assembly and where the location of the knocker should be (upper left backbox).

With all of that said, I have three questions that I'm hoping the community can answer:

1. Is a knocker feasible in the NBAFB? Obviously the manual alludes it's possible, but why are they missing from the game?
2. If installing a knocker is possible, where would you plug the knocker cable into? The manual does not specify.
3. After cross-referencing two other WPC-95 games, Attack from Mars and Medieval Madness manuals, the knocker is labeled on the solenoid/flasher table as Sol. No. 7. On the NBAFB solenoid/flasher table, the backbox flipper is in that same spot. Would that affect to where the knocker cable can be plugged in?

Thanks in advance for everyone's thoughts, advice and feedback.

I'd go into Tests - Coils - and if it's in there stop on knocker. Then hit the Start button, then keep hitting the "+" diagnostic button. This steps you through coil name, fuse, drive transistor, wire colors, and connector info what pins are used.

If it isn't in there, no sense adding it, the game won't know to fire it.

Thanks Lloyd. I did as you said suggested. Test Menu > Solenoid Test > and scrolled through all options. I did NOT run into a knocker option.

From this result, should I assume that the knocker is not programmed into the game? Like you said, even if you install it, how is it going to know when to fire it?
