I've got 2 games and I don't see that plastic anywhere on either machine.

I won 3 rings while playing a friend on linked machines. Never heard of not being able to win 3 rings.
Quoted from skywalker:Any idea why its so hard to lift up the translite/back box insert out.
Tell me about it.
Lift up on the frame of the backbox as you lift the translight. Should help.
You mean hoop ramp?

I bought a couple sets at Allentown years ago. Made by pinball inc I think.
Quoted from joelbob:How sensitive do you have your pop bumpers? When I first got my machine they barely registered and I could never get through more than one power hoops in a game so could never get to a championship. I have now tightened them up but am almost always in a power hoops until they are completed. Should I loosen them back up or change something in my game settings? How many “pops” do you typically get after every shot?
Put your game in switch test and bang on the playfield a bit with your hand. Do the pops register? If so, then you're too tight. If your pops are only going off when the ball hits them, then you have them set great. The more pops the better.
Quoted from marioparty34:For those of you with linked machines, can you please tell me where I can find detailed instructions how on to create the linking serial connector? Is there any place where I can just buy the it?
Thanks!
Go to rec.games.pinball and search "nba link cable."
Seems like a good amount of info there.
There's also this. If this link works, scroll down to "how do I link my nba..."

Quoted from curban:Me again (new to the game, just picked one up last weekend)...
Every time I try to “pass right” from the 2-spot to the 3-spot, the ball doesn’t make it over. Coil seems to be firing fine...in test mode without a ball there doesn’t seem to be any noticeable ‘weakness’. Any ideas where to start on adjustment?
Also getting a lot of air-borne balls launched off the right ramp. Is this ‘normal’? Live with it, or is there something available to help cut down on these?
It seems to me the only way I make the right ramp is to cradle with right flipper and backhand. I get airballs 99% shooting right ramp from left flipper.
