There's repros on ebay, sometimes an NOS there or here on Pinside but the repro's always available, just comes from Eastern Europe though long ship times. Got mine here from a Pinsider who had 2 NOS ones a year or so ago.

Anyone know where to procure this basketball post? Upper left side of the picture, the post that the diverter uses...(Or just the basketball part and I can find the top post and mounting hardware separately). I have seen it for sale somewhere but I forget where. Thanks!

Not the post itself, the basketball and mounting hardware. The post to the playfield is always there for the diverter. Anyone know where to find that basketball and mounting hardware?

I played around with location and decided the shooter lane worked out best for me.

Look for cracked ramps. especially the hook ramp basket. This is expensive to replace, probably $100 or more. Cracked plastics could be the left side sling cheerleader ($12 maybe) and the left side lane guide flame plastic (maybe $8-$10?). Check both plastics mentioned where the metal return ramp to the left in lane from the ball dropping.

So here are some pics of the machine. Trading for a excellent condition Nascar.
It is said to have a missing segments so a new segment display for the shot clock probably or if pins are bent or broken a new pin set soldered on. Also has a tiny bit of wear on the free throw insert. and the hoop looks to have been repaired. not sure where to find another. and the ball trough ball 2 opto is not working or has a alert for. BUT plays fine so somehow it doesnt matter if it sees ball 2 for what ever reason. said game plays fine right now tho could use a cleaning/shop and new rubbers.
thought on this trade? I was asking 3500 obo for my game and he's asking 3200 BUT I think mines not going to get 3k for it. BUT I see nba going for roughly same prices so fair trade in condition or perhaps asking for some cash on top or something? Since I am the one trading I do not think I would be able to get anything.

Your missing the blue rubber by crazy bobs. Get that and fixed and your shot clock to maximize value.

can any of you find a replacement hoop as well? the middle one I looked and could not even find reference of it lol. it seems this game has hard to find parts?

The right ramp is hard to get but get on the list to make by Starship Fantasy if you need one. The reed switches were hard to get but they are being remade now, details in a past post here.

If you're talking about the left plastic ramp that is the hoop then yeah you can get new ones.

is there any thing on here that IS hard to get or NOT able to be gotten any ore?> if so what's the fix if its broke? just wanna know before I pick up a machine to look for that. i have seen its relatively hard to get the pass kickers tho. so if it doesnt pass well or kick up then it may be hard to fix?
Also how much stuff of this can I replace with OUT working on the back of the playfield also? I know a lot of stuff is held on with nuts at the bottom with nuts as well as screws on top how much of the above can be replaced/worked on just with glass off?
well was going to get it yesterday maybe. but going to look at it today to see if I still wanna trade.
Finally picked up an NBA Fastbreak! Great game. What cool mods do people have?
06DEC509-D549-421E-ADB0-019FFAF015BF (resized).jpegMy latest NBAFB mod. The Hook Ramp Basket Bracket Cover: Not sure how that leading edge (rounded edge) will hold up with ball strikes, but it could be trimmed away easily, the cover is only 1/16" thick. Time will tell if it needs modification.

The left ramp, hook ramp, requires riveting the plastic to the metal basket rim as well as disassembly.

I made a paper stencil. I just resized it, printed it and cut it out with a scalpel. Important: You have to make the lines wider to get a good result. And practice on some cardboard before doing it on the grill. Mask everything well and make sure the stencil is fully flat.
I used regular orange spray paint.
I am in the process of making proper reusable plastic stencils. They are much better as they lay nice and flat. Should be available soon.

Hi guys, I just installed 2 new plungers for both diverts that were shot, and used the opportunity to pull all the ramps out and clean everything real good. Installed that nice shot clock mod too.
I thought it all went back together well, but now I am finding the ball getting stuck in the 3 standoffs that support the clock to be a common occurrence if my hookshot ramp shots dont have enough juice to make it all the way around.
Is there a part back there that I missed in reassembly?
