Quoted from MustangPaul:

Nice to see you here and a sit down game too. Is that a real stock car I spy?

Yes it is. I run The Winston Cup Museum Special Event Center. That is one that was used on RPM tonight. Have 20 +cars in museum.

Waiting for the right deal and talking the owner into it.

Well she broke down. I had the auto plunge coil cook. The Q2 is bad. I brought it home to work on and thought "time for a Soap shop job". This is how it sits now. DSC05817.JPGDSC05817.JPG

My decal guy hooked me up with a custom "bash" toy decal. This is on location at the race car museum I run. He said if anyone else wanted a custom decal to let me know and we could work something out.

Paul,
Test stage now. It has a laminate over the decal. I believe he used a 3m vinyl. Will keep posted.

All Done with shop job. Took back to museum yesterday. Have a little light issue but its only 6-gi so I will deal with later. Turned out nice. Comet "sunlight" http://www.cometpinball.com/product-p/25-pack-2smd-ct-ft.htm

Don't get to crazy on the "official thing". Its Nascar, and rules change by the lap.

Quoted from MustangPaul:

That is KILLER!! But how would the decal on the side of the car hold up being bashed all the time.

Has about 150 games on it and still looks good. Will get some photos and post tomorrow.

Quoted from BMHouze:

I am thinking custom painted/skin for the test car is the way to go. Especially if you have a favourite driver.

Did it for mine. Has held up great. Well over 300 plays.
It is a decal.

That was before I put in game. Not paint, it's a decal. I'll get a photo today of strike side. Would do others.

#586 7 years ago

Here it what it looks like now. I will get with my decal guy on this.

I can get the decals for the test car done. Just need to know if you want to apply, or have me apply. Also need to know what drivers car decal you want on it. I will get a price for decals for self install.

#601 7 years ago

Working with my decal guy on this. Will let ya know when we get it figured out on price. As you all know custom work takes some time to draw out. He is going to get back with me soon. I will keep ya posted.
Thanks

Quoted from KingBW:

8. Bug the crap out of soapman for the test car decals (join with me please) - those look fantastic!

It all depends on my decal guy! I will do what I can. Clean machine you got. If any one needs a decal I just need to know what car you want. Custom cars will take some time, but if he has a template of a existing car should not be a problem.
