Working with my decal guy on this. Will let ya know when we get it figured out on price. As you all know custom work takes some time to draw out. He is going to get back with me soon. I will keep ya posted.
Thanks

Decal looks great. I would be in on this as well. Let me know how it goes.
Hi guys, I just finished putting my Leg Light-Ups and beatmasters shooter housing light up (both in white) on my game. Combined they light up the cab great. They aren't as blindingly bright in real life. Pinside is doing something weird with my pictures. LOL

Quoted from Fifty:Looks good Paul! Nice plane too!
No pictures were showing as I downloaded the game pictures so I tried another picture. They only showed up when I posted. I tried to delete the incorrect ones but they wouldn't delete. Robin must be messin with something.

and now THAT happened.
Quoted from BulkOfTheSeries:I put pink flipper rubbers on (from Titan) and they look great.
just wanted to share.
Pics or it didn't happen.
Kinda quiet in these here parts. Wow was that a wreck or what at Kansas this weekend. Made my heart sink when they had to cut him out of the car.
I'll be getting mine back this weekend, its been at its other part owner's house. I only had it for a week so looking forward to getting it back.

How is the split ownership thing working out?

Pretty good, I own most of my pins but half owner of GP, CSI and Vector, all pins I probably wouldn't have bought on my own.
Quoted from Soapman:Update on Decal for test car. No update. He has been busy and has not had time to look into it.
Still no update?
Quoted from tk-the-jammer:Is there any chance Dale jr. Could be added to the title of this thread? Although I don't think there's very many owners in pinside.
Looks like it's already added, look at the top of the page for the games listed. Welcome aboard. Not very many mods available for these games, mine and a couple others.
I added a plastic Harvick plate for a glare guard and some superbands to speed things up.
Jr is retiring .......
My strategy is get road course lit and start collecting champ letters.
Also helps to have a mode going before starting multiball.
Had some limited success wirh left ramp on ball 1 to move my place up.
Quoted from Azfalconfixer:Joined the club yesterday
I wonder why you have a Getaway type plunger on yours. Never seen that before. Oh and Welcome to the club.
Quoted from MustangPaul:I wonder why you have a Getaway type plunger on yours. Never seen that before. O
It doesn't work. Might put the stock one back in but the cabinet was cutout.
Quoted from Azfalconfixer:It doesn't work.
It could be made to work if you want to.
Quoted from Kevlar:Anyone added spotlights to the playfield? its a very dark playfield at times.
Yeah I have 4 doubles from Pinballbulbs on mine. The first picture has blue bulbs the rest are a combo of purple and natural white.
Quoted from Kevlar:Thanks Mustangpaul, I was wondering where to place them. What did you connect them to? GI is the obvious place but iirc the reason its so dark sometimes is the GI is off?
Yes, any gi. What is iirc?
Quoted from MustangPaul:That's a new one on me.
Really? I'm not huge on Internet acronyms but I see iirc all the time. Perhaps I should stop trying to hang with the young 'uns and act my age

Anyone have a good scan/copy of the Dale Jr. instruction card? Just joined the club, and mine needs some work before she's up and running.
Just joined the club this weekend!
Initially it had an issue with the test car switch #40, one of the wires was broken off. Resoldered it but the switch is way out of adjustment and is always closed. I was able to get it playable by loosening the left side of the car bracket and wedging in a thin piece of plastic from some clamshell packaging.
Is there a trick to accessing the adjustment screws? I see the two holes on the side but it doesn't look like there's enough room to get a terminal screwdriver in there.
Also, my game code is out of date - the problem above prevented the modes from starting. I have a bunch of EPROMs on hand from making game cartridges, it seems CPU is a 27C010 and Display is a 27C040. Can anyone confirm?
Quoted from BMHouze:Here's a pic of my chips. Hope it helps.
Thanks, but I need to know the actual chips they used. Worst case scenario I have to remove the stickers on mine to see the chip manufacturer's part #.
It may be as simple as the test car being too tight and not regestering hits. Even when it won't raise/lower it will still do modes.
I use zip ties on the test car.
I peeled back the stickers on my CPU and Display ROMs enough to read the part numbers and their speeds. Figure I'd post it here for the next time someone googles Stern WhiteStar EPROM part numbers.
CPU: 27C1001 (aka 27C010) 100ns
Display: 27C4001 (aka 27C040) 80ns
I had the black piece of metal on the inside left of the scoop pop up and stay up during play. Looks like it keeps the assembly tight and discourages lateral movement.
Too bad its not attached in some way.
I would use super glue/epoxy but all the scoop movement would make it temporary at best.
Anyone else had to deal with this?
May as well clean and re-grease the bushings while I have it dis-assembled.
BMHouze that's just a shim I put in there to discourage lateral movement as you said. It is not actually part of the garage assembly.
Whew, had me a little worried when it popped up yesterday. Didn't see it in the manual.
I put it back in as I do like that it keeps it tighter.

The garage on NASCAR can absolutely wreck the game. If the garage isn't working the game is no fun at all. Thankfully the entire assembly is very easily removed from under the PF.
If I ever get another NASCAR back I'm going to put all my new 3D printing knowledge to work to find better fixes for people that have malfunctioning garages. I really enjoyed the game and I know I'll have it again someday.
