I've had my NASCAR for 5 years. Recently, it started randomly launching additional balls into play (not part of any multi-ball mode). I don't see any obvious switch malfunctions or broken wires. Any idea of what to check? Thanks!

Thanks Folks. I checked the three ball trough switches and the opto operation with switch diagnostics and the were working. Maybe this is an intermittent problem? I'll recheck.

On the "opto board comment", are you suggesting that I replace the board? Thanks!

The connectors on the opto boards will eventually have cold solder joints. Occasionally, the connector will fall off. Just spread the pins a bit wider.

Everything looks clean, connectors tight and solder joints visually ok. I still suspect the opto boards and ordered a set. Will let you know how it goes.. Thanks!

Replaced the transmit and receive opto boards. $9 ea from Marco. Problem solved. Thanks!
