Hello, can somebody help me please?
The Inner Orbit Post of my Stern Grand Prix isn't working.
Already sure the problem isn't under playfield. Tested wires and coil.
On connector J7, I exchanged the wires on pin 8 and 9, so the Inner Orbit post works when I try the Left Track Exit Diverter.
I replaced the TIP122 on Q23, still not working.
I replaced the 74HCT273N on U3, still not working.
I think the problem is above, but I dont know where to search further.
Anybody experienced a Whitestar with only one Low Current Coil refusing to work?

Hi again,
The problem is maybe solved.
When the Coil Pulse Power is selected on Hard, the Inner Orbit Post doesn't work, same for Slingshots and Bumpers but only in test mode for these.
Is this a bug?

Did you ever figure out the solution to this? I was having the same problem and spent the last two hours trying to figure it out. Everything checked out OK under the playfield, and I replaced Q23 but it made no difference. The coil power settings also made no difference.

Then, after exiting the test menu one last time before giving up, the game went into ball search because I had the balls out of the trough. The inner orbit post fired during the ball search. Then, when I went to test it in test mode, it started working again.

So, no idea what the hell is going on with this coil, but it seems like there may be a software bug preventing it from firing sometimes.

Edit: fixed. Back out the adjustment screw which the plunger sits against so there is a more travel in the plunger.
