I recently bought a NASCAR pin at Midwest Gaming Classic a few weeks ago. There are more things wrong with it than I realized, all fixable I believe, but the one I need help with is the car target / garage. The garage is stuck in the up position. I get an error for switch 39 when I run the car test and from what I can tell, that switch needs to be replaced based upon my testing it with an ohm meter.

There were 3 orphaned wires when I looked under there. The garage release coil Q5 was only hooked up on one side, and one of the 3 wires was a black - green wire which I believe goes to the other side of it. I have since soldered that on. However, there are two short wires coming out of the black plastic ribbed hose that don't have an obvious purpose. These two "orphaned' wires are shown by the black arrows in the attached photos. If they are original length, my guess is that they connected to something nearby that was stationary, rather than the moving assembly. Are they extra, non-used wires, or do they connect to something, and if so, what?

There was a "splice job" (blue arrows) done with the wires that go to Switch 39 (red arrows): two green wires from the harness spliced to a green wire with some coloring going to the switch, and one white wire from the harness spliced to another white wire, perhaps to give it more length, that goes to the other side of the switch. Does this look right?
