We are adopting our 3rd dog from Briggs Animal Rescue in Charles Town, WV. This guy was one of FOURTEEN puppies rescued from a crazy hoarding lady who actually made the news last year. Sick woman.

Anways, we met with Reed, which is a lousy dog name, and have a meet & greet with our dogs and him on Friday. Will be bringing him home next Wed if all goes well. We know we will rename him, just trying to think of appropriate names. Suggestions welcomed.

Charles Town begs for the name Charlie. Or if you want a pinball related name, Shooter.

    #5 2 years ago

    Dogbot...dog of pinbot.

    #7 2 years ago

How adorable. I agree I think Charles fits him.

Think of your favorite movie. Pick an obscure but memorable character from that movie, a name that maybe one in fifty people will understand.

    There you go.

You could name him Sex, but then you would have to go to the courthouse and get a license for Sex. Hopefully, Sex won't keep you up at night. If he runs away, you will have to go all over town looking for Sex. I hope that you have lots of fun with Sex...
...or you could just go with Toto.

Disclaimer : What ever you name him. I am glad he's getting a good home.

I told my wife his name should be Dicknose. I just need to curl that mustache into circles.

He also looks like the mohawk gremlin from the movie...and I think it name was creatively called Mohawk.

Looks like a Plato or Socrates

Oh he ain't beautiful , but he's one of the last dogs left of the lot and he's been at Briggs for a year now. He just needs to go home and learn how to be a dog and what a real home is like. His fur is surprisingly soft despite the appearance, which was an initial reaction when I saw him. haha

    Groucho because of the mustache?

    Groucho because of the mustache?

I had a cat named Groucho with a mustache.

Name him Gotham. Then when he barks you can say ‘Gotham needs me’!

    #33 2 years ago

I vote for Muttley! He's got that Mustache above his nose, just like Dastardly! He's adorable, by the way!

I vote for Yondu. The dog isn't blue, but the look is close enough.

    Wife says name him tussle
Looks like he’s been in a tussle
    He’s really cute

Since he was came from "Briggs Animal Rescue"... which translates to BAR to me (always love a good TLA).

I would recommend a whiskey and given the smokey coat, Scotch... which brings me into a nice Glenlivet or "Glen" for short.

I wish you and Glen a very long and happy relationship!

We renamed our pound pup Desi before we got him home. (they named him Peanut.) After living with him for a few days and watching him army crawl under all of our furniture we felt his name should have been Swiffer because he does such a great job of getting all that dust in the hard to reach areas

    #42 2 years ago

    Scrawny

    #43 2 years ago

Name him O-Din but refrain from wanting to kick him. Lol

    #44 2 years ago

    Gnarly

    #45 2 years ago

Yesterday was 20th anniversary of The Big Lebowski - call him Dude, His Dudeness … Duder … or El Duderino if you're not into that whole brevity thing.

    #46 2 years ago

First thing i thought of too

    #47 2 years ago

Looks like a “snaggletooth” to me.

    #48 2 years ago

My vote would be to name him Bebob as in the villain from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
