The Travelers.

My band entered a "battle of the bands" contest back in the '60s.
The Travelers were one of the other bands participating that night.
The winning band got a contract to play that venue once a month for a year.
The Travelers and my band tied for first place and we both got contracts.

Shortly thereafter the Travelers changed their name to The Cryan' Shames.
