At one point Jimi Hendrix lived with the Isley Bros and was a big influence on young Earnie Isley’s guitar style. Isley Brothers rocked.

Good trivia! Ya, Ernie's sound was so unique. I'd like to know what pedals and setup he was using to get it. It nearly sounds like a keyboard at times.
