Tron has been out for years and it seems like everyone and their mother has played one of these but I just haven't been lucky enough to find one. I've gotta find one soon because it looks like it got so much going on.

What common game have you just never had a chance to play?

    #3 15 days ago

Pretty much all of the top 10 of the DMD era. Maybe flipped once or twice but no significant time on any of them except TZ and TAF

    #4 15 days ago

Black Rose. I thought I knew all the 90's games well but somehow I never even heard of that one until Pinball Arcade did it.

Recently, I haven't played Premiums of Rush, BKSOR, Game of Thrones, Deadpool. Just only ever seen Pros.

We talking games we want to play, or games in general?

A game you should have played by now because it's common but it just hasn't happened yet.

    #7 15 days ago

Black Rose escaped me too until I bought one.

There are many then, but I play the ones I really want to play and luckily in the DFW area we have some great locations. If I had to name one, I still want to put some games on a LZ premium. Have only seen pros.

    I don’t think I‘ve ever played a Tommy.

    #10 15 days ago

    Road show , Taxi , Earthshaker , …. There are lots !

    #11 15 days ago

Proud to say I can’t think of one- haha.

    #12 15 days ago

    Most of them
No other collectors in my town, and when I visit other people, they have the same weird tastes that i do
I do not think I have played TAF, one game on a poorly leveled MM, STTNG, any LCD era game

    #13 15 days ago

Not that common, but reasonably ‘modern’: 24, stern NBA, High roller casino.
Kinda played one game on monopoly, but it had a broken sling rubber sitting in playfield…would like to try again.

    Guns n Roses (either)

    #15 15 days ago

Highest ranked ones on pinside I haven’t played are:

Lebowski, Batman 66, Rick and Morty, Alien, Alice Cooper, Weird Al, Godfather, Kiss, TS4, Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, Heist, Thrones, X-men, Quicksilver, Beatles, BOP 2.0, Oktoberfest, Ultraman, Goldeneye, Houdini and I’m stopping here.

    #16 15 days ago

Haven’t played X-Men LE but have played a pro a lot. I’d like to play one to see the difference

    #17 15 days ago

If I go by the infamous “top 100” from top to bottom the only game I have not played is Heist at 67. Not bragging, as that means I played Thunderbirds as well

I played the newer G&R before the Data East one.

    #19 15 days ago

I've never played Simpsons Pinball Party.

Coin flip between the two almost as good as mafia!

    #21 15 days ago

TAF. A local place has one though, so planning to remedy this shortly.

    #22 15 days ago

I've played Punchy the Clown... there is not a "common" machine since about 1968 I havent played, and to date only real rare titles dodge me. I've played so many prototypes and whitewoods, and one offs... only machines that have escaped me so far are those that I haven't found yet. So yeah, there are machines I have not played but common ones? If it was routed anytime between 1968 and 2023, I have probably played it.

    #23 15 days ago

The Hobbit, not sure if it’s common or not but feels like it’s in more homes than arcades.

    #24 15 days ago

    Not missing much...

    Quoted from Bublehead:

I’m not a JJP fan in general, so I’m sure of that.

    #26 15 days ago

I guess it depends what defines “common”. How many made? How many domestic? Do Prem and LE count as different? How many estimated to still be remaining? Is it a Stern called Munsters? So many questions.

I’ve been fortunate to play at some locations in New England with crazy 20-100 game collections. Meanwhile I had never played Road Kings until I bought one, I’ve only played Dialed In once, and I just played 24 for the first time earlier in the year.

I just talked with a guy who has a Caveman and Algar… haven’t played either. But with Caveman apparently at 1800 units made (news to me!) is that common? Oh, and I’ve never played a GOTG Prem/LE but that’s fine by me since the Pro sucks IMHO.

    Sopranos

    #28 15 days ago

    Wonka
    Toy Story 4
    Godfather

I haven't played most of the Multimorphic titles.

I've never played Baywatch, Skateball, Monopoly, Wheel of Fortune, Bugs Bunny's Birthday Ball, Rocky, Hoops, Car Hop, or Title Fight

There's a number of ultra rare games I haven't played (Krull, King Kong, Loch Ness Monster, Qbert's Quest, Goin Nuts, Kingpin, Pinball Circus, etc) and rare foreign games I haven't touched either.

There's a lot of games I've only had the opportunity to play once or twice, which was barely enough to get a good feel for them.

There's a lot of EM games that I haven't played, but I don't really seek them out a lot of the time, though I do have some favorites from that era.

    #30 15 days ago

I don't think there are any in the pinside top 100 I haven't played and I'm reasonably sure I've played most the DMD and LCD era pins. I'm sure there are a few SS and a lot of EMs I haven't played but have likely hit the most popular ones. Whenever I see something I haven't played I definitely make an effort to play it.

There are few more recent titles I'd definitely like to play more. Stranger Things, Munsters and Batman 66 come to mind.

    #31 15 days ago

I've never played Scared Stiff or Johnny Mnemonic

    #32 15 days ago

Popeye & Toy Story come to mind first.

    #33 15 days ago

still searching for a GNR in the wild near me so I can play it

    Quoted from TheLaw:

There you go, Popeye is another one that I've never played. And you would think with over 4000 produced I would have run into it by now.

    #36 15 days ago

I've never played a real Cactus Canyon or Monster Bash or Attack From Mars. Neither the originals nor the remakes.

I've played the "virtual" versions, but never the actual games.

    #37 15 days ago

    From the pinside top 100:

    Pirates JJP
    Godfather (not top 50)
    TS4 JJP (not top 50)
    Elivira
    LOTR
    Twilight Zone
    Indiana Jones
    WOZ
    Ghost Busters
    Whitewater
    Hobbit
    StarWars

I have a lot of playing to do!

    #38 15 days ago

I'm on a quest to play every playable machine.
Despite having traveled to various arcades and conventions, logging 904 machines, there are some glaring holes!

Stern: AC/DC (Pro), The Avengers (All versions except Hulk), X-Men (Pro), Transformers (Pro)

    Midway: Popeye Saves the Earth

    Data East: Hook

    #39 15 days ago

Going through the pinside top 100 I've never played (outside of virtual pinball):

    TOTAN
    Theater of Magic
    Big Bang Bar
    Indianapolis 500

There are a handful on the list I've only played once.

Wipe Out. Somebody told me I should play that one. Or maybe I did and forgot.

But Wipe Out is definitely one everybody should play. Even if they don't want to.

    #41 15 days ago

Ballyhoo. ~50,000 made and I don't recall having played one.
Also don't recall having played Baby Pac-Man or Super Mario Bros. on the Pinside top 287 (coincidentally right next to each other at numbers 242 and 243).

    #42 15 days ago

Thunderbirds. I can’t figure out why I have not run into one yet. That and Tommy.

I don't think they made very many Thunderbirds. I played it at Expo when it came out and then haven't seen one since.

    #44 14 days ago

TS4 has completely eluded me. Every time I run across one it's broken.

    #45 14 days ago

    Demolition Man
    Johnny Mnemonic
    The Hobbit (semi-common I guess)
    The Shadow

    #46 14 days ago
    Quoted from Wiggles:

    Demolition Man
    Johnny Mnemonic
    The Hobbit (semi-common I guess)
    The Shadow

Played them all and The Shadow is the good one of the bunch. Results may vary.

Well, I've never played an original CC either, and I think they added to the code on the re-make.

Both unique in their own way.
