I purchased this item as wall art from Planetary; apparently it came from Williams dead stock.

I saw others like it for different games with various notes such as “approved with minor changes”, various notes, signatures, etc. This one has no such notes.

It is not silkscreened, it appears computer printed and clear coated. Wood is not printed. No milling, no inserts, inserts are all printed.

Art proof?? Wall art?? What the heck is it??Who made it and why??

If I was to guess, maybe they printed out playfield art on to wood just to sell as a wall hanger. It would be cheap to do since there is no holes to drill, dimple, or cut.

I was going to suggest it m iught be a Mirco proof, but that would have been before PPS was rightsgolder

Bottom right side of playfield has black text just outside the art, what does it say ?
Usually this says if it's made by Lenc Smith, Sun Process or ESC (whose silkscreens were used).

Are there any stamps with dates or letters on the edges of the wood ?

I know Williams did a re-run for spare playfields (Funhouse was one of the only titles they ever did a rerun of spare playfields for) so maybe this is a test of that run ?
