My experience shooting automotive clear is you can spray over lacquers, enamels, polys (water or petroleum based), or acrylics. Can't spray over Sharpie touchups. You want to avoid shooting lacquer over enamels. I thinks you're safe, but good idea to try a test in inconspicuous place.
