It seems odd that you need three separate microcontrollers to run a Bally, which ran everything from one 6800 CPU. How is one Arduino not enough to do everything?
Just curious.
Quoted from Snux:Jim will probably give a better answer, but here is my attempt
Many of the earlier Bally machines had more than one CPU - the later sound boards had their own dedicated CPU.
Ahh okay. That makes sense.
Plus Arduinos are cheap.
Well, sort of. Two Megas are $60, plus another $20 for the Micro, so that's $80 on top of the board cost. People should keep that in mind when costing it out.
Well, I'm suitably chastised for not reading closely! Apologies to Jim! Now it's an even better deal!
Quoted from Cheddar:I wonder if applejuice would let us set up a wiki to share tips.on this platform?
Feel free to use Pinball Makers.
So I'm thinking of redoing rules on a Paragon and thought of this project. All of the links for it on myPinballs are broken. Is this still an active project applejuice ?

That goes nowhere. Can I get a copy of that PDF, please?
