The way I handle Mylar ... I generally won’t risk pulling it up.
I strip the PF down, and then use the old Treasure Cove buffing kit technique on it. Buffing pad in the drill with 3M buffing compounds. They come up really shiny and look mint.
Here’s a Banzai Run I did last year - it has a heap of bubbles too, but when the Mylar is buffed up to a shiny gloss, you hardly notice them.

With our exchange rate (and location at the bottom of the world) it’s a $2000 mistake if you need to get a new playfield.
