Hey there guys!

I've purchased a very nice Roadshow recently, that I'll be picking up soon. As per most Roadshows, the fish insert decal has some wear from the eject hole above it. I'm not looking to make this any worse, so I'm wondering if applying a small piece of mylar (say, from a slingshot protective mylar piece) would be appropriate?

If so how do I even apply the stuff? Do I wax the area, then heat the mylar to get it to stick? I guess I just don't know how you actually get the stuff to stick!

Thanks in advance, Tom

You should clean the area, but do not wax it. You should be taking the wax off when you clean it.
Mylar already has glue on it, just peel off the protective layer and stick it on.

Thanks for this info T7! I hadn't a clue about how mylar actually stuck in the playfield!

Cheers, Tom

Just leave it alone. Wax it and play it. The damage is done. Take a pic and check every couple of hundred plays. I'll bet it doesn't get worse. If I'm wrong, then clean and Mylar.

New balls when you should, wax, play.

I have slight wear on the black boarder around the fish on my RS. To avoid any further wear I bought some clear Cling Vinyl from a company called Grafix. It acts like mylar but does not have the glue residue on the underside. It literally clings to the play field, problem solved.

Hope this helps, good luck!

When I use mylar I wax first that way it comes off easy if it needs removed for some reason
