Final Answer, my SW Prem shipped with a bad Node 8 pcb, my Distro Automated Services gave me the best service possible, I spoke to their tech every other day until we figured it out; they sent out many parts and I now have a new Node 8 in my pin. I picked up my SW in person from them last month and spoke with Mike for quite a while. Good people over there; they saved me from writing off NIB forever.
(Side note, been thinking about it and the new Node pcb's are like a small version of the driver pcb in the head of williams pins, and instead of being 3" wired idc'd at the mpu and other boards in the head the Nodes are connected with longer wires back to the mpu which is now called the cpu in the head.)
Keep an eye on those baby drivers err Nodes!
