This is a routed game that i just acquired. Besides some obvious cabinet damage, a little wear around the scoop, and some general cleaning, i think this looks pretty good.

pictures were taken before any cleaning was done. this is how i received the machine

*update*

stopped by Stern yesterday to pickup a couple of customers machines. asked ahead of time if George and Lyman could be asked to do some signing... and they did!!!

Merry Christmas to me!

paid for itself about 3 times. maybe this is why you can still find them on the route while some of the newer games barely make it a season.

#3 10 years ago

Gettin the band back togethaaaaa

Nice pick up I freakin love MB

#4 10 years ago

Congrats! Still never played one and have always wanted to.

#5 10 years ago

you can get the "virtual" one with the Farsight arcade app. i used it to hold me over until i could get one.

#6 10 years ago

Nice! I just got mine about a month ago. Really fun game.

#7 10 years ago

There are 2 on route by me and they are in sad shape

Congrats on your MB, I finally played a nice quality one at Jetzxi's and had my opinion about the game lifted quite a bit.

That's what made me fall in love with it in the first place. That app is great, but only adds fuel to the fire that is my addiction.

#9 10 years ago

Congrats.

MB is the most played game in my collection. Its great for kids and guests.

#10 10 years ago

i wasn't really on the look for one, but this one came up and the guy was looking to put a WOZ on the route. we worked out the details and he is getting a WOZ (standard) when i get them in.

It has been on my list for a couple of years now. i was just looking through my past records today and found that i sold one in october of 2011 for $3500.... oh how i wish i could go back and do that again. i also had a Scared Stiff that i sold for $2750. I thought that those were high prices back then, now i would buy either of them sight unseen and not think twice about it.

can't wait to see what happens 2 years from now.

You will be regretting not grabbing that beautiful TAF for trade in SE Wisc

Somebody fetch me a RAZOR!!!!!!!

Congrats!!

#13 10 years ago

Looks great for a game that earned that much. Congrats.

It really didnt make that much if that is the true earnings audit for its lifetime (which it may not be accurate since they can be reset)

I picked up a AFM a couple years ago that had well over 50,000 games played (even at .50 per play comes to well over 25k) & have a ACDC premium that was on location for just about a year & its almost make 8k.

#15 10 years ago

Congrats, love monster bash!!!!

#16 10 years ago

Congrats on the addition....so jealous

#17 10 years ago

Congrats on the game! She will go great in your gameroom.

#18 10 years ago

Can't wait to have it in my gameroom!

that is a possibility, but not in the house you are in currently.

#20 10 years ago

Looks great! Should fix up perfect!

nice pickup!

Not if the operator had a 50/50 split with the location, not to mention hundreds of trips for collecting the coins, and maintenance. Pinball op sure seems like a tough way to earn these days.

I bought a couole arcade games before with nearly 100,000 credits on the coin counters. That's over $20k in each. The games were a 1981 ms pacman cocktail and a 1990-ish Neo Geo 4-slot. They still had the original monitors and original guts and played just fine. That really put the whole "death of pinball" in perspective fo me.

No room for it?

BTW......good job on the LED boards!

My pinball collection may or may not be on the 3rd floor of my house. Somebody (nmeun87007) doesn't like swapping games with me because of that.

Quoted from Jetzxi:

And thanks!

#26 10 years ago

somebody (hogbog) needs to get either an elevator or a ground level game room.

tell you what, when you get twilight zone up and running (and on the first floor) we can swap machines.

#27 10 years ago

Looks pretty good condition wise. Try cleaning the drac mechanism out - I stripped mine down and it was full of glue like grease. Can't believe the difference it made - now drac moves more like the flash.

#28 10 years ago

WANT!!

#29 10 years ago

Take the time and clean it up right. Congrats!

Why did you buy it dont you know they going to remake MB, with all new boards etc.

Quoted from dr-fun:

1) i do not KNOW that they are making a new one (this has not been confirmed by anyone that i know of)

2) i can have this one NOW and not in a couple of years (if ever). the rumor mill is saying (and this would be logical) MM, AFM, CC, MB (possibly) figure if they can make one every 6 months that would still be 2 years away.

3) i had a machine to trade that the other guy wanted (no cash out of pocket)

#32 10 years ago

You did the right thing. Can't wait to see it all cleaned up.

i just need to stop playing it enough to actually get to cleaning it.

I can't wait to have that problem!

#35 10 years ago

congrats on the pickup!!!!!!!!!!

#36 10 years ago

Some cliffys, leg protectors and spit shine you'll have yourself one hell of a MB! Great pickup man!

#37 10 years ago

do people install Cliffy's and Mantis or is it one or the other? for the wear that i have on this one i would think cliffy.

also, i thought i saw something once about a drac-trac protector, but i can't seem to find it right now (at work and should be working so just did a basic search)

thanks

#38 10 years ago

I only have the cliffy on mine.

The drac trac part is a bracket for under the playfield, yours might have it. It helps keep the 2 split halves aligned properly.

#39 10 years ago

I love my MB. I am getting ready to do a restoration on it, and will be extremely sad to see it down for anytime.

#40 10 years ago

dont cry now sinnister....we will have it blingd' out and better than ever before you know it!
