Looking to trade my HH for a Hook pin.
HH has been shopped, cleaned, waxed, polished,
ground mods professionally done, LED's tastefully done,
very nice PF with very little wear, BG is perfect,
cabinet has minimal wear, manuals included.
Even the lower PF has the often missing or broken
clear plastic with the spider web!
This HH is a strong 8 out of 10 (maybe a 9 )

I'm looking for a Data East Hook pin in likewise conditon.
I have pics to send you and can take any more that you want.
Located in So. Maine.

I would make this trade in a hot second if I had a Hook...

GLWTT...

#3 10 years ago

I seem to be getting that a lot.....but not from anyone with a Hook !!
I'll give it a few days, then I'll just have to sell the HH and see if I can
find a Hook to buy.

Free bump - I've personally dealt with the OP on more than one occasion. Great guy, and takes very good care of his machines.

#5 10 years ago

Free bump for a great seller!

#6 10 years ago

I'd trade you my Hook for it, but who's going to move that thing?

#7 10 years ago

If I was closer, I'd try to buy a Hook just to trade you for that beautiful Haunted House!

Shipping is a killer for me

You guys are gonna make me blush (insert "Good grief" here), thank you Ozuba and Walt !!
I know I'm anal and take a lot of pride in my games, thanks for seeing that.

And for the rest of you, isn't that our moto? "I wish I was closer, I'd buy that in a heartbeat!"
I have said that to either myself or the seller, at least 2 dozen times !!

There is an inexpensive Hook posted here, in NC.
I spent 2 hours last night trying to figure out if I want to drive there to get it !!

Any way, thank you all!
Right now, I may actually be simply looking to BUY a Hook.... if I can find one closer.
Maine isn't exactly around the corner.... or the pinball capital for that matter.

#10 10 years ago

Hmm, this is very tempting. But Maine is a bit of a trek....

I have an excellent condition Hook. Has an NOS clear coated playfield in it and all new lamp sockets. It's in really nice shape all the way around. I've done a lot of restoration to it.

Admittedly, I have no real idea on what either of these games are trading for. A fair exchange?

Neither is Fullerton.

Fair trade IMO.

Thank you Pinsiders !!
The HH has been sold, got an offer I couldn't refuse.
Now to find a Hook (in the northeast )

#14 10 years ago

Gman I have a spare hook playfield in my house that I pan on doing a minor touchup too and clearcoating at some point. Just a heads up in case you find one with a unacceptable playfield

Sweet! Thank you Jim!
That could make life a lot easier. I'll shoot you a PM.

I was about to say keep HH but never mind.

Ya, others that have commented have said the same.
But, the "vote/comments" were 50/50 to keep it or get a Hook.

Different pins for different folks, right? (or is that different strokes for different folks)

Good luck on your search. Save your money and get one you really want.

I appears Data East's HOOK is a pinball The GMan wants. I owned one back in 1998. I really Liked the BIG ramp. And The drop targets. Dam it has been so long ago . I think it has drop targets. I remember having fun with it. I seem to remember the DMD was smaller than the standard you see today. If so make sure it is in good Shape. It may be hard to find a replacement . It is a fun pinball from what I recall !!

And I probably shouldn't admit this but....... I like the movie!
(don't throw tomatoes, someone has to like it )

A few have said the sound track is "annoying", I say BANG-A-RANG !!!

Who doesn't love hook.....Ruf-i-OOOOOOOO

#23 10 years ago
Quoted from Whridlsoncestood:

I love the movie too mark

That's why I can't find a Hook close by at a decent price !!!

It's not because they aren't popular and they're sitting in the corner of the basement
covered in dirty clothes because no one likes to play it.

I guess I should stop listening to those "nay-sayers" who said Hook sucks.

#24 10 years ago

I think the vast majority of nay-sayers are people who just like to complain about things...realistically who doesn't have fun playing a pinball game, sure some may be better than others, but overall it is just a fun thing to do.

I would. Personally, I love the movie and the game. Easy, simple game that is just pure fun to play.
