The playfield had mylar but installed in pieces . I think it was trimmed on the play field because it had small lines where the mylar overlapped but saved the playfield.

Any body know how to remove pic ?

Where is the apron decal from?

#11 5 years ago

Got it made at a sticker shop , not 100% identical

#13 5 years ago

Holy crap that looks awesome. What substrate is that apron decal printed onto? I think I'll try that for my Centaur apron.

#14 5 years ago

looks like printed vinyl.

#15 5 years ago

Nice work. Never played one but it's great looking game. Captures that era perfectly.

#16 5 years ago

Pretty sure it's vinyl

#17 5 years ago

My hats off to you. FS is a great playing game. Had one for years that was really nice with NOS wired playfield but yours is amazing. Great job......

#18 5 years ago

Looks really nice. You used krylon on the cabinet too? How was the dry time?

#19 5 years ago

Yes krylon , make sure you let the paint dry more than a day because when I put the 2nd stencil on the couple hrs fresh paint some of that paint came off when I pulled the 2nd stencil . I let mine dry for a week . Nobody what's that feeling when see paint on the stencil when removing it .had no issues when paint was really dry.

Looks great...you did stellar job on it.

#22 5 years ago

It looks great!

How much time would you estimate that the total project took?

#23 5 years ago

Wow, great work Denis!!

#24 5 years ago

Started in late June and finished in march, but I was in no rush no pressure. I really enjoy the hobby .

Tks

#25 5 years ago

Man thats sweet!!! FS is my all time favorite pin, miss mine greatly.

#27 5 years ago

Would love to know if I can get a decal made for my apron as well. The game turned out great - will be starting my restore in a couple weeks!

#28 5 years ago

You just need to find a sticker shop , where they make them on location.

#29 5 years ago

Ok cool - but I would need an art file as well yes?

#30 5 years ago

I brought the apron , he found an image on the internet. From the image and measurement of the apron created the decal , not 100% identical but better than what I had .

#31 5 years ago

I've to do a similar restoration on mine....so.....good job! then...

Where did you get bumper caps? are they close to originals?

About the white cabinet coat....it seems that you have like mine some golden (brown?) spray point like old EM, is that correct? is that gold?(sorry if I ask this but I'm a DMD guy, I'm really noob with early SS machines)

Funny things that mine, even under unexposed lights parts near legs bolt holes, is pink and not even close to dark/red wine like your machine.

#32 5 years ago

Got the reproduction caps from pinball resources, I got the gold dots and dark red from under the side rails ( see previous pics ) and looking at original flyer picture . Under the side rail never got any sunlight .

Yes Future Spa and Paragon have the Gold splatter paint applied to the cabinet.

Here's my Paragon under the rails.

Paragon with Gold Spatter

#35 5 years ago

Space Invaders had the same spatter only in silver on the cabinet.

And now I know why a stenciled S.I. never looked right to me.

#37 5 years ago

I was very happy with Pinball Pimp stencils, for the colors I went with was the best judgment. I didn't see any pinkish color anywhere on the cabinet or head . After sanding cabinet the red was dark right through.
