I know it all comes down to preference, If it were me- I'd be looking @ the Williams system 9 & 11 games and Stern classics.. There's a lot of good ones to choose from that can be had anywhere in the 1k range in excellent shape( the popular themes) down to player machines w/PF wear 500-600 range. They're relatively solid machines and aren't too complicated to fix.
