First, I know some you hate mods. Point taken, understood, this post is probably not for you.
I think some mods are very tasteful. . . while others can take away from the layout/theme of a pin.
I love my Indiana Jones (The Pinball Adventure) and I certainly do not want to clutter the playfield up with an overabundance of toys. I have been wanting to give my machine a personal touch though and wanted to highlight one of my favorite moments from my favorite of the three films (the Crystal Skull does not count !): IJ and The Last Crusade. There is something about Indy and Henry riding in the motorcycle from Castle Brunwald that I like. . . don't know if its the music, the chase scene, or just the image of the two riding along but something about it sticks with me.
In an attempt to bring life to that scene I attempted to mod up a replica (yes, its a toy) of Henry and Indy in the motorcycle. It is nothing more than wiring up a few LEDs, but drilling a hole thru the front headlight bucket was more of a challenge that I thought (its actually made of metal!).
Here are a few pictures of what I put together today. The last picture has an old pinball for scale.
The next step is to find a place for it in the game. I want to tie it in with the Castle Brunwald Mode. I will fab up a mounting bracket and try a couple different areas. . . will try to post some pictures when I find the sweet spot.
