All the warm LEDs I've tried (including retros) have a green tint to them. I use LEDs in places like inserts (using like color LED to avoid washed color), or where a cool white will work. For warm white I still stick with incandescent as the green tint (in an otherwise cool white) make the colors washout and impose the green tint. This has actually worked well in some cases like the opaque white inserts (Big Indian, wizard) where the green tends to get filtered some and appear a warm white color. In this case it almost exactly matched in color to an incandescent - but this is one of the few places I've found warm white LEDs usable.
