Hi

I have my Cirqus Voltaire for many years and now it I have a problem: there is no audio but all the rest works perfectly. When I turn it on the machine "bepps" 10 times.
I searched on the manual and I found that it is an audio RAM's problem
All fuses are OK, I tried to reconnect all audio board's connectors but there is no change at all.
Can anyone give me some help?

Thanks

Had a simular issue on a WPC Soundboard.
Solved it by replacing the RAM chip

If you don’t have the chip on hand, try reseating the existing chip. Or further, cleaning the pins of the chip with some alcohol and reseating.

The three WPC95 A/V board RAM chips are not usually socketed but they are normal DIP IC's so not very hard to replace. Install sockets for the new chips.

I suppose a ribbon cable issue could make the computer think the AV board memory has a problem if you want to try swapping the ribbon before doing circuit board rework. Maybe you have another game to borrow a ribbon cable from?

I noticed that the chips soqueted are most impossible to find: the are from Willians and I noticed they are ROMs in fact. I will try to reseat the chips and the cables.

I will let you know

Thanks for now
