my capture Dorothy light has always been yellow when its time to capture her. For some reason its now white. what happened? I havent done any code changes r setting changes.

You didn't install 5.05? That makes it blueish/whiteish to blend in with the backboard (which many don't like because it doesn't stand out enough). If you didn't, run an LED test through all the colors and see if it shows in all colors. If not, you've got a bad board that needs to be replaced. Welcome to the wonderful world of WOZ...a bitch to dial in, but friggin' amazing once you do!

I ran a test and it showed in what ever color was spelled out, blue red, etc. yellow not being a choice. does that mean bad board? how to diagnose? thanks

When the machine is in attract mode, does the insert show in all the rainbow colors like the rest of the inserts?

If you went through all the colors and it showed up correctly (even white), then it should be good. You didn't go to 5.05, correct?

same old code. I went to led test lights, its says blue, it turned blue. its says red, it turns red, it says white, it turns white, etc. it never gave the option of yellow.

I'm stumped. I'd just keep an eye on it during the rainbow attract mode to see if it cycles through all the colors like everything else. There may be a problem with yellow and that may be the only way to spot it. It's an easy board for JJP to replace...it's a single universal GI board behind the back panel. A bitch to get to, but not a big deal to swap once you're there. If the yellow doesn't show in attract or come back after a reboot, I'd open a ticket with JJP or email Lloyd to get another board.

sounds like a bad board. Try swapping in a known good board and see what happens.

when you say board, are we talking the big boards under the pf or the tiny board that lights up the dorothy light?

tiny board. Sounds like that board is bad. You could swap it for a known working one just to confirm it is bad...but it sounds bad to me. Did your game come with an extra?

If it's a bad board, it's a bad board in an interesting way. That's not just a light failure, since it still makes white..

I've had several do that that subsuquently had total failure
