Lets start the story from a week ago, so come to find out my boss's neighbor/friend has a 1976 Williams Grand Prix pinball machine that he recieved in trade for doing some automotive work (owns a private shop at his home). Well, upon recieving it he knew it didnt work as told by the previous owner and he thought about keeping it just for decoration.
Well, my boss happens to tell him that i collect arcade & pinball machines which starts the conversation between me and the "neighbor" the next time he comes into our store. Well he says "The machine doesnt work, it doesnt power up but its in really good shape and just needs dusting and cleaning" Long story short, we agree upon a $300 price and he said i know your boss, just pay me when you can if you dont have it now. Just get it out of my office.
So, i bring it home, and had to wait to have assistance to get it in my house from my friend/neighbor. We get it inside, i plug it in and well low and behold no lights, nothing. So i flip the power switch like any normal person would do. POOF whole machine powers up and relays clicking and popping. Well i press the start button and what do you know, it starts a game! Somehow, between the previous owner and my boss's neighbor they couldnt figure out how to turn on the pinball. So i got a stellar deal tonight!!!
All it needs to get up to excellent shape is rubbers, new flipper links and flippers (they are stripped) some bulbs and a playfield cleaning and wax and shes good to roll!!!
