I guess the best of both worlds is to have a theme you enjoy with great gameplay. But like others, as long as I don’t hate the theme then it doesn’t matter as much as the gameplay. A great pin for me is a combination of art, lights and sound, theme, gameplay and that “je ne said quoi” FUN to play. I love TWD but it is one ugly pin (as it should be given the theme) but that thing gets my blood flowing just like Ironman. You can never be 100% sure what speaks to you until you see it, touch it and play it. I have discovered by playing that I like a lot of Borg’s pins (don’t really care if he re-uses design elements) - my brain just tells me I am having fun when I am playing them.
