Quoted from play_pinball:

So looking at this and you should be using spacers instead of star posts in those real tight squeeze areas behind the ball guides and such:
https://www.pinballlife.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=PBL-300-0052-00

Those posts are about an 1/8th" shorter than the tall star posts from PBR (1-3/16"), so the plastics weren't sitting right for me. I went into Fusion360 and whipped up some longer ones, then printed in yellow. Not exactly original, but then again nothing is on this build! PM me your address Hoaky and I'll send you some some if you'd like.

Quoted from slochar:

Coming soon.... spinner counter to the quicksilver software.

Awesome news, can’t wait. I’m running his modified code on a Meteor with a Weebly, and I can’t tell you how many balls I’ve drained because I was watching that damn spinner counter.

And QS has TWO spinners to watch? I don’t stand a chance....

Now don't get me wrong because I love a good spinner rip, but too much isn't always a good thing. Imagine for a minute you WERE able to get 200 spins on your spinners. With that shot lit for 2000pts per, that's 400,000 per rip. At that point why would you shoot ANYTHING else, ever?

I'd say something in the 50 spins/100k per rip keeps the game more balanced, and for me at least, more enjoyable.

I assume it has to be burned to an eprom, then installed in the additional slot on the board?

Yup. Write the .512 file from Slochar's zip to a W27C512 eprom (that's what I used - others may work as well)
Install into the U1 socket.
Pull the 'Enable U2' jumper that is located right above U2. Better yet just leave it installed on one of the pins so you don't misplace it.
Boot up, go to audit 15, press the Clear Audit button on the MPU.
Power off and on, you'll see the version (02) in the Match display.
Play a game and lose balls while watching the spinner counter.

Where did you go to learn that procedure? I just would like to learn more about it. Thanks for posting

Most of that came from Slochar's post about his revised Meteor rom, and the readme.txt from his QS spin counter rom. The Weebly stuff is right off their MPU setup sheet here:

Looks great. Which company/color paint did you use?

Just a heads up regarding the flippers as we look to be using the same Pinball Life complete assemblies. I used the gap tool under the playfield to eliminate any binding in the mech, but I just realized my right flipper has been dragging the playfield at the top of its stroke! There is now a small scuff in the clear right at the end of the flipper when its fully extended, even though at rest (and through the stroke) it looked to have a small bit of clearance...

Evidently, putting a washer on top of the bushing before inserting the flipper bat is a common trick to avoid this with the early Sterns. One that I obviously missed so I figured I'd bring it up here.
