My 3 year old rocked Tron for about an hour tonight. Unfortunately he is a bigger fan of streets of rage and street fight 2. But he was banned from those tonight for bad behavior.

Don't feel too bad. My 73 year old wife can sometimes clean my clock
when she really gets into a game.

Got my son his own 1arcade street fighter 2 for Christmas. He is going to
have tears of joy. Seriously he can rock it for hours if we don’t monitor him.

The few months I had a MB, my oldest loved it. Good times.

I have a ton of pics of my kids (3 and 5)
playing, but this is the first time they discovered split flipper. They almost always play it this way now.

My son use to love to play pinball with me but now he’s getting older and found lame ass video games. I’m sad.

Gosh I miss those days. Enjoy every moment. My son is a teenager now and it's all video games now. He's even going to major in video game design when he goes to college! I'm serious! I wish there was a pinball design major at colleges! Now that would be crazy! Enjoy them when they're young.

I hope you are discouraging him from pursuing that degree. It is nearly useless and a known scam by colleges.

That is correct, hopefully you meant he is going into engineering\Programming etc as the video game major is indeed a scam. My friend owns a game studio if you wanna talk to him.

I wouldn’t say it’s a SCAM, but I would say it’s of limited usefulness. A degree is not really necessary to work in games biz. You just have to demonstrate the skills. And a game focused degree won’t go far outside if the industry. I do agree that a more general degree in programming, user experience design, digital art, etc (or many other things) is the way to go because your son may not end up in games. Or if he does he will want to move on to another industry someday. Games biz is generally long hours, low pay, and unstable. Which can be okay when you’re young but you are going to want to move on. Take it from a guy who worked in games for 12 years (without any degree) then went back to school and pivoted to user experience where I can now work at stable companies that pay much better. Check out gamasutra.com a game industry news site, by reading articles you will get a sense of the good, bad, ups and downs of the business.

10 months and she loves to push the launch ball button. So it’s teamwork!! Unfortunately she likes to push the start button too so we play a lot of 4 player games.

Those are some great pics! Whether they keep playing pinball or move on to video games when they’re older they’re going to have some great memories to cherish.

Liam loves pressing the launch button and starting 4 player games Lol. He now takes my hand from the flipper button so he can press it. Chicago Expo was a blast, he discovered video games too.

When my wife was pregnant she used to put her belly against the machine when I played.

The result, my son at 3 months old:

My five kids (ages 13, 11, 9, 6 and 5) all play pinball. We have family competitions!

Great pics! My kids are into lame video games as well. I don't get it. I can at least understand some games where you blow stuff up but my kids play stupid games. My boys spent hours last weekend playing some game where you fix up houses. Literally sweeping floors, putting paint on walls, doing repairs, etc. They used to play pins, especially after I got a new one, but never anymore.
