How did this happen? Were the stars just in the right order? Did I piss somebody off? Was it just fate or a real Miracle?!!! For those who own or have played Gottlieb's Royal Guard you know this is not an easy game. I felt pretty damn good about having the family's high score of 5,706 which is not shabby if I say so myself. Well, Friday evening I heard yelling coming from the family room. At first I thought one of the dogs got in trouble for something like trying to eat one of the cats. I then thought, in horrible fear, my wife found the rug patch I put in when I dropped the solder gun on the carpet (I hope she doesn't read this post). My daughter came running into the kitchen with this huge smug/smile on her face and stated "I BEAT YOUR HIGH SCORE!". Of course I didn't believe her and went to check. 6,050 points were showing on the score! There it was as big as life. My 14 year old daughter is now the pinball wizard of our house. This younger generation...what are you going to do.
