How did this happen? Were the stars just in the right order? Did I piss somebody off? Was it just fate or a real Miracle?!!! For those who own or have played Gottlieb's Royal Guard you know this is not an easy game. I felt pretty damn good about having the family's high score of 5,706 which is not shabby if I say so myself. Well, Friday evening I heard yelling coming from the family room. At first I thought one of the dogs got in trouble for something like trying to eat one of the cats. I then thought, in horrible fear, my wife found the rug patch I put in when I dropped the solder gun on the carpet (I hope she doesn't read this post). My daughter came running into the kitchen with this huge smug/smile on her face and stated "I BEAT YOUR HIGH SCORE!". Of course I didn't believe her and went to check. 6,050 points were showing on the score! There it was as big as life. My 14 year old daughter is now the pinball wizard of our house. This younger generation...what are you going to do.

I think it's great that your Daughter is into an older machine (would seem she's played it a
few times), and how much it meant to her to now have the High Score. I have AABs, but for
a Replay machine, seems 6,050 would certainly be difficult to reach, but perhaps, someday,
the same type of yelling may be coming from the Family room, the only difference, in your
voice.. (T)

My nephews are a bit younger, but their quick reflexes can earn them the winning score of a multi-player game more often than not. They are still a bit away from my high score. . . for now!

I was playing Ghostbusters with my 8 year old son one day. He’s player 1. Needless to say he felt like he was on top of the world. It was cool to see him so excited

Don't feel too bad. My 73 year old wife regularly kick my arse on her favorite
pin (Wms Aztec). She enjoys the hobby and is very competitive. Wish I could get
her to go to a show and enter a tourney.
