Quoted from minishark:has anyone compared the different install types: home, novelty and Directors Cut? What's the difference between them? Which is recommended for best play?
Any answer to this? I just upgraded to v1.45.

Quoted from MustangPaul:Nice but it's facing the wrong way. I kid, I kid.
Fair enough, but I contend Stern put them facing the wrong way. Cars in general are better looking when viewed at that 3/4 angle from the front, not the back. I say everyone should spin their cars around and see how much better their game look
Quoted from PoMC:How the heck do you remove the large car on the Pro?
Remove two nuts on the top to remove the plastic, then two screws hold the car to the plastic.
Quoted from HOOKED:Yes please post a vid of how yours works not mine.
Id be very interested in seeing it.... before you blow smoke at my mod which by the way is 89 ready to install and in stock at hookedonpinball.com
For those that may not know a stock tachometer will not have the correct reaction without modification. A spinner does not spin fast enough to trigger the reaction needed. Vid posted above is of my modified tach three years ago.
Quoted from PoMC:Works just fine for me with the switch wire of the tach connected to the banded side of the diode on the spinner switch. I don't see any difference in the needle action. Not like any more or less needle action would matter to me anyway. I also prefer the faceplate of the gauge I bought over the one you use. But again, personal preference.
I've got to agree with PoMC, my DIY tac mod works perfectly hooked to the spinner. I believe any tach that works off 12v would work fine.
Quoted from Jediturtle:Hey Hooked...quick question about your tach since this reminded me to ask you. Should the tach bounce with a hit to the bottom pop bumper as well as the spinner? Mine does. It's never really bothered me, but seems like it might be wrong. Works perfectly with the spinner, but with some additional action from the pops. Ever see that before?
Great mod either way though!
Mine too. Also think it's a pop but don't much care. Here's the thing. Now that three of us have the problem it's NOT really a problem. I was slightly concerned that I had a crossed wire somewhere, but doubted it cause it's like one alligator clip and who messes that up!? No way us all three screwed that pooch. So giving it a little more thought, there's probably a shared wire between the spinner and that pop. Pops draw lots of juice and switches draw none? So that leaves the ground? Dunno if it bugs me enough to troubleshoot further...
Edit-see I'm late to the party
Quoted from woody24:Completely off topic but sorta on topic. I'm looking at buying a 2016 CS/GT. Not a done deal yet though.
Sell you my 2013 GT Premium Brembo pkg with a Glass Roof, 6spd, 3:55, Shaker, Nav and 401a w/Premium Heated Leather seats. $18k. Need to make room for a loaded 2018 GT in Orange Fury.
Quoted from woody24:Looks good. curious how many miles? I always wanted to add the side scoops to mine. Just looked like it added an extra level of meanness.
I've only ever driven an automatic as my everyday car. I know how to drive a stick and also currently ride a motorcycle. Since getting the bike, I've been tempted to get a stick, but man, just everyday commute with unpredictable kamikaze traffic scares me with a stick. I'm sure after a couple days, I won't even notice it, like the bike.
65k miles. The window louvers and air scoops were an appearance package you can order from Ford and were factory installed. Like you said, you get used to a stick shift pretty quickly.
Quoted from PoMC:I received the 50th Anniversary Mustang clock/thermoter/speedometer today. Might have time tomorrow to take it apart and begin modding it to install on the playfield.
Can't beat the price of $26 shipped. Keep an eye on eBay for one cheaper than the $49.99 Amazon price and have fun modding it yourself.Edit:
Couldn't help not take this apart already while playing Candy Crush with my wife on our touchscreen bartop game.
This dash cluster going to be quick and simple to mod, but look fantastic on the playfield. If I have the right length posts and a white LED strip (or whatever color I decide to light the speedo with), then I can get it done tomorrow.
I'll post pics of taking it apart although no one should need them. Just unscrew, remove base, unscrew more, remove the glass so it doesn't show any reflections when mounted, install an LED strip, screw back together.
I'm not going to wire up the speedometer needle to move on a switch hit. I thought about that for 2 seconds and it doesn't make sense for a speedo needle to bounce around like a tachometer. I'd want a speedo needle to move quickly from 0-60mph or something, but not to bounce from 0 to 80 to 0 to 70 to 0 to 50, etc. So that saves time and effort not modding the needle. Just light it up, mount it and enjoy having that empty space in the back of the playfield looking sharp!
Great plan! But where you gonna put it??
Quoted from Tuna_Delight:Wishing for a Mustang ColorDMD release in 2018!
In the meantime, I have a sigma display installed & ready and I'm currently digging the orange (after trying yellow and then blue) display:
Agreed. They have failed us up to this point. They have what, almost 100 games done now and still not Mustang...
